Winter break turned bad

My kids are on a winter break from school this week. The weather was supposed to be good and I had plans to take them out to the city, go bowling and to have their friend visit at the house. Well all plans went down hill :( and its very upsetting. We are ending the year with the biggest snow storm. I can barely make it out of my house to walk and to take the car out is just crazy. I did take them and their sleighs out for some sledding at the yard of the local church. It was fun acitivity and we had another little friend join in. I guess we have to make the best out of what we got. In two days we have to prepare for New Years Party. Having some friends over and looking very much forward to the celebrations. Lots of wonderful food and a very happy get together for us and for kids. I love this time of the year.
